One cookie of mine, and the map's own.
This site does not follow you around the internet. It remembers whether you have seen the bar at the bottom, and the contact page loads a map that belongs to Google. That is the whole list.
What I set
I set one cookie, named pba_consent. It stores either “accepted” or “essential”, depending on which button you pressed on the bar. It lasts 12 months, is available site-wide (path=/), and is marked SameSite=Lax. It is not used to advertise to you, to score you, or to stitch your visit to a profile. It exists so that the bar can stay out of the way once you have read it, and so that I have a record, in your browser only, of the choice.
The bar copy is mine: this site keeps one cookie so it remembers you have read this, and the contact page loads a Google map that sets its own. Nothing here tracks you around the internet. If you never press a button, the bar stays, and the page gets extra space at the bottom so the legal links in the footer remain usable. I would rather the reminder be slightly annoying than have it cover Privacy, Terms and Cookies.
The two choices, in ordinary language
“Fine by me” writes pba_consent=accepted. That is still only my consent cookie. It is not a licence for a marketing pixel I do not have. I left the wording friendly because the alternative — a twelve-page preference centre for a site with one cookie — would be theatre.
“Only the essential one” writes pba_consent=essential. Today that is the same cookie with a different value. There is no extra analytics suite waiting behind the first button. I keep the two labels because the contact page’s map is the part some people reasonably refuse, and I want a way to say: I have seen the notice, and I am not pretending I asked Google to follow me.
Refusing the map, in practice, means not loading contact.php, or using a browser that blocks third-party cookies and watching the map fail quietly. I do not currently swap the iframe for a static picture based on the cookie value, because I would then be building a second product to avoid a map. If that changes, I will write it here. Google Maps on the contact page
contact.php embeds a Google Map centred on 33 Tan Quee Lan Street, Singapore 188098, so that people visiting Bugis can see the street. Google, not I, may set cookies on that embed. Google’s own policies describe those. I do not read them, I do not combine them with the form, and I do not use them to remarket to people who looked at a pin. The iframe is loading=lazy and is titled “Map showing Periodbenitoagency in Bugis, Singapore” so that a screen reader is not left with a silent box.
No other page on this site loads that embed. If you never open Contact, you never load the map through me. This page is only about cookies set while you are on this website.
How to refuse, clear, or ask
You can refuse by pressing “Only the essential one”, by clearing cookies for this site in your browser, or by using the browser’s controls to block cookies from this domain. After you clear, the bar will return, because the browser no longer holds pba_consent. That is the mechanism working, not a punishment.
You can also write to hello@periodbenitoagency.pro and ask what I hold. The cookie lives in your browser, so I cannot delete it from Bugis. I can delete enquiry records, which is a Privacy matter, and I can confirm that I do not run a second, quieter tracker behind this page. Periodbenitoagency opened in 2026; I have not inherited a decade of forgotten tags from a previous agency stack, because there was no previous stack.
If a future version of the site adds a cookie, it will be named on this page before it is set, with a purpose and a life. I will not bury a change in a changelog nobody reads. Last reviewed: 2026.
